unfortunately language pack handling and creation is broken in all DNN 5 versions (I apologize for this undifferenciated statement, please see subsequent post)
Removed or incomplete features in language packs are the main reason, I am unable to migrate our own and clients sites from DNN 4 to 5 atm. AFAIK, this applies to most of the German user group members as well.

Sebastian,

It makes me sad to read this message from you -the one person I keep as a strong referent regarding these DNN features-. I agree completely with you regarding the multiple deficiencies with Language Packs handling.

Though I was kind of expecting some improvements in this area in a somewhat short time...

Thanks for your persistence and dedication to the community.  :-)

Saludos!

PS: BTW, I am also sticking with 4.9.5, for me and my clients. Waiting for some good news.

Sebastian,

Apologies for the following question: can you explain how this issue is being dealt with customers DotenetNuke V5.x Professional?

Will my customers using version 4.x.

Thank you for your dedication.

This is not quite accurate.  Among many international participants on our team, most are satisfied that things are working (although we all agree there are additional improvements to make).  Our Internationalization Community Team is working with us to incrementally improve localization features with each release.  While I do understand that Sebastians preferences are not working, this does not represent the sentiments of all team members or all international team members.
