in web.config

<identity impersonate="true"; userName="domain\username" password="password"/>

when i remove "userName" and "password" and leave it only

<identity impersonate="true" />

adlogin can't work!

please tell me how to do ?

my office policy can't post any password or username in config file

please help me

At this time there's no way around it (if it's needed) except possibly in some of the instances from the post above. A quick read of one of the links mentioned putting the info in the server's registry but I've never tried this so I have no idea if it works.

Getting rid of the need is something I'd like to do but won't happen until I get a chance to do a complete re-write of the AD code (the current code that I inherited a number of years ago is still based on the .NET 1.0 framework and needs to be updated to current standards).
