Hi,

I developed a DNN site on my localhost and managed to copy to the install (db and web files) to another machine after creating the correct portal aliases.

I recently reinstalled my dev machine (win7 x64 + VS 2010 b2) and  now when I try to copy the db+web files back I get a weird error. (same error is produced if I run local development web server but point db conn to the production database aswell as to local db)

The error is that the homepage works at http://localhost:1166/DotNetNuke_dev/  The page renders and modules works, banners are served from the banners module etc. But all tabs and links results in a 404 error. For instance http://localhost:1166/DotNetNuke_dev/Terms.aspx will give a 404 "The resource cannot be found."

What can this be?

Any ideas on this? Im posting my PortalAlias table entries below.  Entries 1-4 works 100%.

Entry 5 will only load homepage with appropriate modules but all links in menu will result in a 404 not found, except the Login link which works(!) as I can log in as Host and I then get the homepage in Edit mode. I can edit modules on the front page. I can click add page and then I get the form the new page, but posting the save new page command fails in a 404.

When I am logged in I can click the User menu item (seems postback links works, http GET's dont) and I then get my edit user page and can successfully update user data.

The items in the Host section the menu works, the items in the Admin section don't. (the menu links to admin items are host/Admin/xxxxx and the items in the Host menu are like http://localhost:1166/dotnetnuke_dev/tabid/21/portalid/0/Default.aspx )

4 0 www.dubbelspel.info (real domain launched on production machine)

Can anyone please give some information on how to troubleshoot this? Seems like an URL handling thing since the tabid links are working.
