Hi,

I am going to create large package from more dnn modules. How can i edit .dnn file. I want install dll files to bin directory and also i want include 3 module zip file.

Hi suresha, your question is not well understood.

Are you asking about specifying multiple modules in a single .dnn manifest file. If yes, you can surely do that. You have 2 main options for this:

  1. If your modules are completely independent, you can specify each of them in a separate <folder> element in the <folders> element. This would install each module as a separate independent DesktopModule that would show up separate on the Host menu's modules page.
  2. If they are dependent modules (like you have in the core Blog module), you can specify them as the different <module> entries in the <modules> section of the single <folder> section. They would then show up together on the "Installed Modules" page, but separate TabModules would be created when you drop an instance of such a module on the page.

If you ahve .dll files in the installer zip, just give them as any normal entry as a <file> in the <files> section. DNN ould automatically copy them to the bin folder on install. Like I said above, you can pacakage all your 3 modules in a single zip file or 3 separate zip installers depending upon the requirements or the option you choose from above (The second option requires all 3 to be zipped as a single installer zip file).
