Hi

I have a similar problem, the application_started event is generated about every minute and I think it is causing to abort catalook's import procedure. I have an xls file with1000 products that is partially imported, sometimes around 250 products are uploaded, sometimes more. I I used to import 1000 products without a problem.

Surely 1 application_started event every minute means the site has a big problem but I don't know where to start looking.

Make sure that all recycle events of the application pool get logged and check out DNN event log (admin > Event viewer) and Windows event log for associated items.

Did you resolve this?
I am having the same problem with lots of application started events showing in my eventlog viewer.

We host our own DNN site and it has it's own app_pool.
We have checked the memory setting in the app_pool (Private memory limit (KB)) and it is set to 0 which means there is no limit on memory allocated to the app pool.

The windows logs don’t show any restarting of the app pool at those intervals either.

So why am I seeing so many of these events?
