Thanks a bunch Rodnye, greatly appreciated.

How come staff from Dotnetnuke did not follow up on this - is this what we can expect for the free version in the future...eventhough it was promised it would be supported?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Try clearing your cache memory - that did it for me.  (Tools->Clear Recent History) in Firefox.

I have one... DNN Staff is much more worried with the 3rd Party payed software then the free stuff...
This was discussed in other topics... but I think I'm not the only one with the same opinion....

I really like DNN but one thing that I hate is that that we can not have a dynamic registration unless we pay for a 3rd party module... same thing for social networks... but a very nice guy gave us smart social... and now we can't be sure if it works in the last version??

Some people could say... "its a 3rd part module... its their problem and not DNN staff"..... but in my option when it matters to this kind of module (something that the core does not provide any alternative) the Staff should talk to the person responsible for developing stuff like smart social, without going ahead and change things... or stop calling it "Community Version"

A lot of people (including myself) are thinking on leaving DNN for another CMS because of this... I think DNN staff must proove that you do are concerned with the community version and that you WILL support it...

Saying you will is very different from doing it!

Sorry for the hard critics, but things must be said!

I'm not sure if this is realated or not, but I was also getting the

Dim cacheFolder As String = String.Concat(PortalController.GetCurrentPortalSettings.HomeDirectoryMapPath, "\Cache\Modules\")

error when running DNN 5.2.0 and trying to Login. I found an issue in DNN gemini (DNN-11256 - DotNetNuke.Services.ModuleCache.FileProvider.GetCacheFolder Throws Null Reference In Scheduler) that seems to capture the problem. Although the bug ticket didn't say the issue was resolved, I upgraded to DNN version 5.2.1 anyway and noticed that the solution commented in the bug appears to be in the code. However, I now get a compile error:

Website\DesktopModules\Admin\Tabs\ManageTabs.ascx.vb(871,0): error BC30057: Too many arguments to 'Public MustOverride Sub PurgeCache()'.

Changing PurgeCache was the solution to the DNN-11256 problem, but it seems that it may have introduced some other issues. The bug was fixed by Philip Beadle, so maybe he could help.
