My Web Developer (who is on holidays) has locked a page of which I need to make changes to. Is there a way to access this page myself or does the Web Developer need to do this? Example: Terms of Use for Website needs updating and the page doesn't show up under Admin/pages for editing. Thanks in advance.

Andrea,

Terms of Use and Privacy Statement are not "real" DNN pages and do not show up in page management. Instead, go to Language Editor in Admin menu, in DNN 5: select "portal" mode, in default file scroll down to key "MSG_Terms.txt" and "MSG_Privacy.txt". use the button on the right of the text box to enter the RichTextEditor (skip the useless warning). Alter text and save, done.

Your changes will be preserved on framework upgrades.

Thanks Sebastian for the info.

Have managed to locate the text etc but unfortunately I seem to be unable to edit...this is my process:

1. Navigate to Admin/Languages
2. Select Language Editor
3. Locate Message_Portal_Terms.Text
4. Click arrow button beside Default Value to edit
5. Skip Warning Message
6. Click on Basic Text Box and copy original text into the editor
7. Click on RTE and edit.
8. Click Update and return to Notification Messages List
9. Click Update in Notification Messages List

When I check the ToU, the changes don't show up....aaarrrrgggg!!!  Is this because of my Admin access or do I have a lesser version to DNN 5 (not sure what version I have but currently waiting to find out via our off site independent server hosts) that requires an extra step etc not described in your reply etc.....

Cheers
Andrea
