Just wondering if I should upgrade straight from 4.9.5 to 5.2.1 or if I should upgrade to something smaller first???

I know there were some upgrade issues with some of the early 5.x versions so maybe this is one time I should upgrade straight to most recent version??

Your thoughts / experience would be very helpful.

I am having problems with that exact route - it is still not possible to log in to my site from the homepage for some reason.

If you use Mobinuke, Ifinity, Pageblaster etc. I would turn these all off first.

From my experience, the problem is that half the module developers have not tested against 5.2.1 yet...

I just tried upgrading straight from 4.9.5 to 5.2.1 on my local host install. It failed.  There are a bunch of scripts (one for each version of DNN between 5.0.0 and 5.2.1) that all errored out.

I am going to try to upgrade first to maybe 5.1.x and then to 5.2.1

Edit:  Forgot about Will's upgrade path chart on his blog.  Will try the 4.9.5 > 5.00.01 > 5.01.04 > 5.2.1 path.
