Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me.  We are currently in the process of doing a complete overhaul of our website and marketing strategy.  Part of this is an upgrade to DNN 5.2

As part of this I would like our site to operate slightly differently but I'm having difficulty in working out whether or not DNN can do what I want or indeed what the correct terminology is.  For the purpose of this post let us assume my main domain address is www.mysite.com and my products are called Apples and Oranges.

On my 'home' that is reached from www.mysite.com I wish to have two clickable options - one for people who like Apples the other for people who like Oranges.

If you click on Apples I want a whole new look to the site, different menu along the top, different banner image etc.  In the address bar I would like to see the address www.mysite.com/Apples/

A similar thing would occur if you selected Oranges.  There would be a link to take you back to the original home page.

Can anyone please tell me if this is possible and if so how to go about doing it?  I'm fairly competent with DNN but I'm not a programmer!!!

Thanks for any pointers.

Cheers

K.

One way of doing this is to set up three sites.  the first one www.mysite.com is the landing page or site that everyone goes to.  Then you can set up two other sites like apples.mysite.com and oranges.mysite.com.  These two sites could be separate instances of dnn, separate dnn databases.  The initial landing site could also be dnn if necessary but if all the page is going to do is allow for a choice and redirect i don't see a need for dnn.  I know I am making an assumption about the functionality of mysite.com.

At any rate, i know that in our case we have several different clients who use our application built upon dnn. we have one registered domain www.whateveritis.com (not our real domain), and all of our clients login to their own site using clientname.whateveritis.com.

Hope this helps.
