I've followed the following module creation tutorial in the past:

http://www.codeproject.com/KB/applications/LCTDNNModDev.aspx

However, in dnn 5.02 the create new module process is different. As such, I'm not sure how to go about registering my project on my site. Can anyone link me to an updated tutorial or explain it to me, please?

Thanks

Stefan

To register your module in 5.02, you must select to create your module from a control. Select the name of your module folder (don't worry about owner folder) and in resource, select your view<module name>.ascx.resx file. Give your module a sensible name and description. I never bothered with a test page.

You wont have to add a definition for the module as it will already be done for you. DNN will also have generated your view control (remember when you selected to generate from your view.ascx.resx file?) , but it wont work. You have to edit it and enter the information as shown in the tutorial. Do the same to generate your edit control.

Update your module, and you're done. Continue with the rest of the tutorial.
