Not really sure what your problem is, the blog module on dotnetnuke.com is used without any modification with the default setup.

I am happened to research on the same topic too. I think the problem is that in DotNetNuke.com. It is possible to create multiple main blog (one for each developer) but in the blog module that I am using, it only allow creation of one main blog but multiple sub categories for each blog.

I am interested to know how to setup something like DotNetNuke.com without touching any code/table behind the scenes.

Thanks in advance

Vincent.

Yes, as long as you wish to build each person a "child" blog and not a "root" blog.  To have multple root blogs, you would have the make the modification I previously posted and manually change the parent id for the blog in the database to -1 or null.  The GetBlogByUserId would not handle multiple root blogs without the change.  With the change, it seems to work fine so far.

Vincent,

the setup on dotnetnuke.com is the defautl setup without any modification.

The blog module is designed for creating a root blog for each user and as many child blogs as the user want.

Please check first your permission setup of the blog controls. For more information about the right setup follow the link below.
