We have need to store all of our rich media on a CDN, which I'm surprised to see doesn't come up as a topic around here much. We were hoping for a way to extend the File Manager to include folders from other sources. Brandon Haynes' Amazon S3 provider does this very nicely, but we'd like to see any thoughts on other providers or CDNs. Any tips on how we could write in an extension ourselves?

This extension point of DNN is not very well documented at the moment, and from an integration perspective, Brandon's implementation is the only that I am aware of.

You could use his code to help get an understanding of what is needed to build your own extension though to go to a different CDN.
