The search options in the list settings present a search box when the 'simple' option is set. Which field(s) are being searched for the specified value?

Secondly, is there a way in which one can permit some member to update any record's 'restricted columns' while other (regular) members may only edit their own records? This special user is not an administrator.

Fine for 1.I understand the restricted form field and how a given person would be allowed to edit it. However, I am trying to find out if a person who is not an administrator and not been given 'editing' permission can still be given permission to update just the restricted fields even when the option that restricts users to only manage their own records is set?

It also appears that the max nr of records which a user is permitted to create is not acted on, even for non administrators.

Is there a way in which a previously exported CSV file can be imported again (with possible changes) but such that the field types and possible drop down list of values are not reset?

Finally, what does the 'Save as template' do?
