I get the following error after putting the blog module on the page.  Note that I did uninstall and then re-install the module.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.NavigationControl.SolpartMenuNavigationProvider.Bind(DNNNodeCollection objNodes) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.BindMenu(DNNNodeCollection objNodes) at DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.SolPartActions.Page_PreRender(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

This displays in the uppper pane.  Then if we attempt to "create my blog" and set the properties, the only pane that shows up after the update is the one with the above error.  If I then navigate back to the page I get the lower blog panes but again get the error in the top pane.

Diddo - previous post describes exactly what's happening on our 5.4.1 install. I look forward also to an answer.

That is a well-known error when the blog module is installed in DNN 5.x as discussed in many threads in the Blog forum. Here is one which indicates several work-arounds:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/F...

A Beta version of the revised Blog module has been posted at http://dnnblog.codeplex.com. Not that this beta is for testing purposes only and should not be used on live sites. It does indicated, however, that the Blog team is active and that a new release of the module which corrects that issues is in the works.

We loaded the new version you posted. Same thing. Unsure, should we use the work arounds from the other posts?
