I would check to see if you are getting high load on your live site. number of users, Concurrent users, etc.... 

Chances are that with high load your development would also give the errors.

You need to isolate the issue, and look at the logs just before the exception happens by looking at logs at exact time of the event as against the error logs in your Admin/Logveiwer  time stamp and may be you can see what could cause the exception.

this was resolved in 5.2.3 which was released today.

It is nice news that problem is solved. But in my version error was been eliminated when provider increase server performance.
