Another FF 3.5.7 user here with no problems using the forum.    Now I have had trouble accessing the forum at other times, however that was not a browser issue.

Ironically, your feedback is very much appreciated because it is only with feedback that we are able to respond.  Whether you opt to use DotNetNuke in the future or not, I appreciate that your participation will actually help to improve the product for others.

You know, it really took a while to even find an email address to send the complaint to. Seems like you would want a feedback email or something that would be EASILY accessible. Remember, there were no new thread or reply buttons on this forum AND I kept getting the error:

"A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

BTW, this forum runs very slow for me even on a 10MB connection.

I was new to DNN yesterday and experiencing this problem on IE, FF and Safari was the worst sort of first impression imaginable.

I saw no error messages, and being new didn't know precisely where the missing buttons were supposed to be.

I agree with the previous post - finding an email wasn't easy. It's fine using these forums as a main source of contact but if/when they fail then a handy backup needs to be in place.

And, saying 'no problem here', though undoubtedly true, only antagonises those of us experiencing the problem. I doubt people would go to the bother of posting bogus faults.

Anyway, my thanks to Scott for replying to my emails and if you can see this post then things are working - at least for now - as they should.

Strange. On one computer I had 3.6 work perfectly. On my other machine it is looking funny.  Missing icons for

Showing up as text links instead.

Both logged in with the same username. IE 8 renders the site perfectly (except for the compat view icon that seems to be coming up on every DNN site in IE 8).

please try pressing CTRL+F5 to force a fresh load of any css/images/javascript, that sometimes resolves issues caused by old cached copies of the pages. Also, sometimes clearing your temporary internet files can help if the cache is corrupted.

Thanks,

Cathal
