I have DNN 5 installed and I uploaded a skin I created in Artisteer. How can I remove the login link so that it can only be accessed through a url like: mysite.com/login or something similar?

You can do that in Artiseer actually, but that question would be better posted in they're forums...

As for DNN, well its just an object like any other...

Edit the .ascx skin files, and remove what you want:

  < dnn:USER runat="server" id="dnnUSER" / > (REGISTER and User Profile link after logged in)
  < dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" / > (LOGIN button/link)

If you really can't figure out how to due this on Artiseer drop me a message and I will help... Its really very easy :)

I rather do it via the ascx file because the skin is already uploaded to the production server and I have limited access on the server but my admin is willing to make the changes if I give him the instructions. The problem is that Artisteer makes 4 ascx files, correct? Which one do I need to edit?

From what i Think it makes only two for the skin, not sure how many for the containers... the "page.ascx" and "page-admin.ascx" file... I allways use the same skin for the portal and host so I never when I want to edit something is just do it in the page.ascx.

Hope that helps

Yes it does help. Thank you very much.

Btw, how do you do it in Artisteer, just for future reference?
