Hi Mark,

The 202 major issues you are seeing on the Gemini dashboard includes (a) enhancements and other non-bug issues, and (b) issues that have been checked-in for previous releases (e.g. 5.2.2).  (I'm not sure why those issues are appearing on the list, but it's likely due to the recent configuration and upgrades to the system.)

Once I filter those items out, I see 15 major bugs outstanding, and many of those are in progress or checked-in for 5.2.3.  Further, even with those fifteen, some (while major) affect only some smaller subset of users (e.g. DNN-14400, which affects users installing via Microsoft's Web Platform Installer).

While this is my own personal opinion, I believe that 5.2.2 is a great release and would encourage anyone to give it a run.  (I do, however, agree with you that the 202 major issues on the dashboard is a little bit misleading, and that we should put some thought into better-quantifying that value.)

Hope this helps!

Brandon

Brandon is correct, there are a lot of issues which should not be showing. We recently upgraded gemini (twice), and some data errors crept in. In between the 2 upgrades, some bulk updates were done, and the statuse's of a set of data were incorrectly set . It appears that it was only the "correct" status of a subset of issues (i.e. one's in recent releases that were closed/complete came across as checkedin/complete), but we're taking the time to check all the data, as well as all the historic data, to ensure that we don't lose any useful information, or set any issue detail incorrectly. Once that's done the records will be updated and you'll see the issue list shrink to a much truer number.
