The regular expression that parses the skin HTML markup is quite flexible, but sometimes it hits a wall. I think this might be one such case. Can you please change the syntax so it uses long form instead of the shortcut, i.e. <object .... ></object> and see if the problem goes away.

I think I have tried all the combinations I came up with, but still the same error. I have also tried with copied language skin object from MinimalExtropy, but I get the same error. =S

Hello,

I'm using DNN 5.2.2.

I am getting the same failure message.

The difference is that I have never been able to isolate the issue to the language or any other token.  I also tried the <object><./object> full syntax with no success.

Any ideas?

I've discovered  that:

This syntax works as a token for DNN5:  <object id="dnnCopyright" codetype="dotnetnuke/server" codebase="Copyright"></object>

which produces this ascx skinobject: <dnn:COPYRIGHT runat="server" id="dnnCopyright" />

This syntax does not work: <object id="dnnCOPYRIGHT" codetype="dotnetnuke/server" codebase="COPYRIGHT"></object>

which I retrieved from the DotNetNuke5 Skin Objects Beta Doc 4
