Hi,

In my module, I am doing allot of client side validation - but some of the validation has to be done server side.  I use the built-in functionality in DNN to display validation errors.

For example:

DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Skin.AddModuleMessage(Me, strMessage, Skins.Controls.ModuleMessage.ModuleMessageType.RedError)

The problem is that on some of the larger pages, when the post back occurs and the message is displayed at the top of the form - the user has to scroll-up to see the message (i.e. there is no indication that there is a problem).

Question:  How can I force the post back to show the top of the page when it refreshes?

You could register a startup javascript method that would change the window scroll position.

Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript is the method if I recall for that.

You can add this to the page load event.

//
Dim oScrollTop As HtmlInputHidden = CType(Page.FindControl("ScrollTop"), HtmlInputHidden)
If Not IsNothing(oScrollTop) Then
oScrollTop.Value = "0"
End If

This seems to be working.  Thanks for the tip!
