I have just migrated a DNN 5 site from my Dev Server to a Shared Server at CrystalTech. The site is being serverd in Full-Trust, and I walked through the permissions with the tech who helped with the migration. The problem is that whenever I try to save changes to any of the Text/HTML modules I get the following error:

Error Error: is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Deleted 0 files, however, some files are locked. Could not delete the following files: D:\inetpub\theparkpeople\Portals\_default\Cache\Modules\80\ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.attrib.resources;D:\inetpub\theparkpeople\Portals\_default\Cache\Modules\80\ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.data.resources; ---> System.IO.IOException: Deleted 0 files, however, some files are locked. Could not delete the following files: D:\inetpub\theparkpeople\Portals\_default\Cache\Modules\80\ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.attrib.resources;D:\inetpub\theparkpeople\Portals\_default\Cache\Modules\80\ACABA51644A302FBB325E30E7931BAF8.data.resources; at DotNetNuke.Services.ModuleCache.FileProvider.Remove(Int32 tabModuleId) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.ModuleController.SynchronizeModule(Int32 moduleID) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.HtmlTextController.UpdateHtmlText(HtmlTextInfo objHtmlText, Int32 MaximumVersionHistory) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Html.EditHtml.cmdSave_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Is this a permissions issue or is something else going on?

Update:

I worked with the CrystalTech support crew to check the permissions. They modified the NETWORK SERVICE account permissions to Modify/ReadExecute/Read/Write for the entire site folders/files including the Root folder. However, I am still getting the errors including when I try to Restart the Application through the Host Settings:

Error A critical error has occurred.
Access to the path 'D:\inetpub\theparkpeople\web.config' is denied.

Additionally, I get an error when I try to add a product (including the image and thumbnail) to the Store module we are using:

Error A critical error has occurred.
Access to the path 'D:\inetpub\theparkpeople\DesktopModules\BuyNow\Images\FulfordMap.jpg' is denied.

All of these errors convince me that there is a permissions issue, but given that the permissions were set I don't understand what is causing them...

That can happen if files are in-use, they shouldn't be, but I have seen it happen.

You might validate that the ASP.NET account has full permissions to the DNN installation though to be on the safe side.

Resolved:

The Web Control Console for CrystalTech was erroneously reporting the ASPNET user file permissions. I had their Support staff check to be sure, and they found that the user had only read permissions.

Thanks for the response, Mitch!
