My Fellow DNNers:

I wanted to ask for your help in kicking off A Million Dollar Memorial; a site I built as a tribute for my brother who died tragically at the age of 18 in a house fire 25 years ago. The purpose of the site is to memorialize my brother and to raise some funds for charitable purposes.

Although DNN cannot officially endorse my site, I did seek and was granted permission to make this post.

The purpose of this post is to seek support in kicking off the site and getting some feedback on the process.

Please visit http://www.amilliondollarmemorial.com and let me know what you think about the site. If you can make a small contribution ($1, $5, $10 or whatever) to test out the process, it would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to say too much about the site here, as I would like for the site to stand on its own. Hopefully I have a pretty good process in place that will make it intuitive. There are feedback forms on the site that can be used if you have any issues or want to make general comments.

If you want to put the Progress Bar (as seen in my signature) on your site, you can get the code in the FAQ.

The site leverages quite a few third-party modules, including XMod (DNN's most powerful module IMHO), XURLP, Scott M's Photo Gallery, UCANUSE User Attributes, Advanced Datagrid, PayPal, etc. The skin is from Tyler Fawcett. It was a real joy to build the site because of its purpose and I really learned a lot about process and PayPal along the way.

I am currently a Gold Level DNN Benefactor, which is my attempt to keep moving DNN forward and to give back to the community, which has helped me so much in the last few years.

Thanks so much for your consideration in this matter.

I wanted to say thanks to Rodney Joyce, a fellow DNNer at Smart-Thinker (http://www.smart-thinker.com/Home/tabid/1/Default.aspx) for making the first international contribution.

Maybe a few others could follow in his footsteps and make a small ($1, $5, or $10) contribution and let me know how the process works and if I need to make any changes.

Have a great day!

I updated the home page to be a little more explanatory. Check it out. Maybe a few others could make a small ($1, $5, or $10) contribution and let me know how the process works and if I need to make any changes.

Have a great day!
