so i installed dotnetnuke 5.2.2 on my test machine in the process of working on a new module and it workign correctly for a while it all of a sudden reverts back tot he install file telling me to install the instance again. so pretty much what i mean by this is it seems to revert to as if it was never installed the first time.

 Did you happen to change the objectQualifier setting in your web.config file? That can cause this to happen as DNN is now looking for tables to have that qualifier in front of them, and those don't exist.

i didnt touch the web.config. although VS2008 could have caused this.. all i did was create a new module. and this happened..

How did you create the new module? one of the VS template projects?

ya, i used the dotnetnuke simple dynamic module item.
