I have DNN 3.1 installed on godaddy (manual install - not 1 click).

I got the gallery module installed after a mod to the gallery.dnn file. Fixed the maintenance issue by modifying the maintenance.ascx file.

Now the gallery shows up and I added an album with 1 picture. The thumbnail shows up but when I click it I get the error below:

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

It looks to me like the dll for the UrlRewriter is missing.  Please check your remote bin for the proper dll and add it if it is missing.

Thanks for the help. I'm new to DNN - do you have the file name for the dll?

I didn't have much content on my site so... I deleted my site (DB, directory, everything) and re-installed.

At first everything, including the gallery worked fine. Created album, uploaded pictures. Thumbnails, slideshow, maintenance all worked fine.

However, I checked the site later (next day) and the first time I checked the gallery it looked good. Went back a couple hours later and get the error below and the gallery doesn't show up. No changes were made to the gallery it just stopped working.

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Also, are there alternative gallery modules available?

Thanks,

    John

I agree this is very strange bug.
It happened in one of my website after upgrading into 3.1

I'm investigating to find what cause this error, and will provide a fix for this bug

Tam
