I think it will help the 1000's of sites he talked about.

fwiw i was not disagreeing with you So you think i should just stop supporting my module then and let people wait for this to be part of the core?

There's no doubt that this needs to be in the core -along with a ML text HTML mod etc - but I have been waiting since 2005 for these to materialize (ok, slight exaggeration, I have only had time to address ML this year, but others have been) - so I think Erik should go ahead and fill the gap in the market until the core catches up (I am very surprised this is not a higher priority in the core to be completely honest - and I will believe it when I see it). Erik - maybe keep selling old version but no new updates... the core won't do a 4.x localization version so everyone will have to update anyway... a 5.2 Telerik version makes sense... my 2c

rodney, for the record: content localization has a vey high priority at the moment. The problem though is that in fact none of the third party localization solutions are 1 to 1 portable to the core, for various (technical) reasons. Cathal is working on this a large part of his time. DNN 5.3 should see some more api features for content localization, but chances are a couple of stabilization releases will be needed to make it feature complete.

Erik, IMHO:

DNN versions 5.0.x and 5.1.x will soon be overtaken by 5.2.x  and following releases... in fact I am seeing that happen right now. So maybe you will end up having two versions to maintain, 4.x.x and 5.2+.x

Sincerely,

Alejandro.
