I've start this Topic to take a Poll to see if folks like the new way DNN 5.x does
NOT show the Pane Titles nor Pane divider boarders while in EDIT Mode. If you
want to make comments about this feature you can find other posts in the Forums
to do that; what I'm looking for is an up/down vote! Thanks...

PRO: This shows a true layout, the way the end user will see the page, while you are editing it.

CON: You can't see the Panes Names nor the see the layout visable while editing.

Additonal CON: If you are in layout mode and then want to perform an ADMIN or Host function
those pages are also in layout.

Given all the things that really need to be improved in DNN, I'm amazed this was ever given the green light. I'd have simply replaced the hard-coded borders and labels with some CSS classes and let people decide for themselves how to style them.

If you could open a new topic on how to do that it would be much appreciated and then post the link here. Thanks.

It needs the source modified to do it, which is not my field I'm afraid, but it shouldn't be hard for someone who can. .. at least in DNN4. I guess in DNN5 one would have to add it all back again first.

I don't think DNN 4 or DNN 5 implement the best solution - due to the fact that pane names are needed when adding or moving a module, pane names and borders should only be used in these situations (and design for designers to validate their result).
