this might be without problem

2 ways to do :
1 - backup dev db and restore on prod. (and reconfigure connections strings in web config)
2 - Detach dev db, copy file (mdf and ldf) to prod server, attach db (and reconfigure connections strings in web config)

Only if you have to pass from 2008 (Express or not) to 2005 (Express or not) use :
