In DNN 4.9 I could specify the menu link to a tab/page to actually use a specified url.

This was usefull when I was setting up a page which held an xmod module with records listed, xmod can filter using url parameters.

So when I wanted a default filter applied to the list I would configure the menu link to include the relevant url parameter.

I have tried to do this on a DNN 5.2.2 instance and get the following:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Any thoughts anyone?

I have a similar problem and wonder if someone can help with a problem/?bug in 05.02.01

I have a host site running in which I've built a number of Parent postals. These are used to support medical student web projects.

The host is called DotnetNuke and the Portals run as Portal1, Portal2 etc

So the Host URL is http://Localhost/dotnetnuke and the portals as localhost/dotnetnuke/portal1 etc

This all works find except that if a link is set up in a page on the portals to for example portal1/home

it actually links to dotnetnuke/home.

When setting up the links in the FCKEditor the drop down shows only the pages from the portal but the link that is generated in the URl box points to the host URL. The attached shows the screen capture.

The postal page is:

http://129.11.xx.xx/dotnetnuke/portal1/Symptoms.aspx

but the generated URl is dotnetnuke/Symptoms.aspx

If I turn off friendly URLs it seesm to work fine.

Can anyone explain why this is happening.

Is it a bug in the Editor?

Is there a new translation needed in the host list?

Where does the mapping come from?

Thanks for your time on this.

Rick
