I found skin.css and container.css under another skin, howiever, none under the skin I am using.  I just opened a support with the skin developer.  I surely appreciate all of the attempts to help me out.  I never imagined that it would be that big of a mystery.

Again, Thank you.

I blogged about this topic a while ago when the skinonject was first updated in 4.9x I think. I should work in DNN 5.x as well.

This is a configuration of the search skin object, CSS file does help anything with removing it.

Thank you for your reply to my post.  I took a lok at you blog and don't believe that it does what I am looking to do.  I want to completely remove the Search option from the site.

I think you could edit ascx file of skin you used in order to remove search skin object.

For example, edit "Portals\_default\Skins\MinimalExtropy\index.ascx" and remove element "dnn:SEARCH" which correspond to search skin object.

To remove search functionality on your site, you need to remove the search skin object out of our skin file as Stéphane Tétard mentioned above. The blog post I did was to allow you customizing the skin object itself.
