 Hi, i'm just getting into DNN and have come across something that stumps me but hopefully someone can help me out.

At the moment when adding for example a hyperlink to another page the default link is  www.example.com/DNN/example.aspx...  This brings an error and manually has to be changed to www.example.com/DNN/site/example.aspx.  

Although not a huge deal when adding a page to change it I know, but is there a way to change the default base link? (I can see users having issues)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to mastering DNN and sowing back into the community.  :)

You likely need to edit your PORTAL ALIASES which you can do when logged in as HOST and go to the Admin/Site Settings page. See if you have examplesite.com/dnn and examplesite.com/dnn/site listed as aliases.

Thanks for the reply, at present the only alias is www.site.com/dnn2/abc.  The links by default are /dnn2/pagename.aspx.

 I guess it's using the alias of Host as the default path and not the child portals?  Aliases seem to be set up right though.

 Still cannot seem to get the path to change, any other possible thing that could cause this?
