dnn version is 5.1.4.

forum version is 4.5.3

I set user Avatar Path to localhost/portals/0    and

granted network service account the full control permission  to this path.

when I click upload button, the response is:

Error: is currently unavailable.

The avatar path needs to be relative to the portal's home directory. This means Portals/[PORTALID] is handled for you. Another way to explain this would be you must set it to a folder in your DNN file manager for the portal. By default, it tries to create a folder named Forum/Avatar I believe, which would site in Portals/0/Forum/Avatar in your case. (You shouldn't set the localhost part either).

I can't upload avatar from AVATAR but I can upload from ADDITIONAL AVATAR.

Two questions:

first: By the default forum  installation, the avatar path FORUMS/useravator is not created by the dnn sytem and it is only SHOWN in the text box,Should this path be    created by DNN system automatically  or should I create it manully by myself?

second:.I found that  the avatar can be uploaded  successfully from ADDITONAL AVATORs and the path is already created by the default installation , and the images are stored in folder Forums/SystemAvatar/ when the image is uploaded.
