Hello Everyone. I am looking for a Content Management System for my Web Site. My Web Site was built using ASP.Net and VB.Net. I was at the asp.net

forum and they recommended dotnetnuke. I have no experience whatsoever with Content management Systems. So I am looking for some material to read

about how to plug the dotnetnuke CMS to my website. And then once that has been done. It would be helpful to know how to use it to change and manage the

content on my website. Thanks for any resources, suggestions, or help.

I think its important to understand if your current site is custom built ASP.net there is probably little chance of porting it "into" DotNetNuke. If you do have custom functionality built there is the potential to migrate it into a DotNetNuke module - we do that all the time for clients.

Thanks,

Noel

It all depends on what your requirements are and how you plan on using the CMS.   I have had sites were we can port an existing asp.net site into DNN without any issue.  If your only using the CMS to import data (admin) then your existing asp.net site can be altered to read from the DNN DB.  If your looking for full functionality, then you will probably need to port over your existing user controls into modules.  Before making a decision, I would take the time to fully understand DNN, what it can provide and also what your true goals are for the project.
