Hi,
What is the explanation of the next issue:
I have ordinary skin with 2 panes: content pane and side pane.
I place some custom module i developed in the content pane.
In the side pane there are some other dnn modules.
My module has few controls which are loaded dynamically by calling
the same tab id with the control name and optional parameters.
Whenever the module first page is loading everything appears fine include
the side pane with its own modules.
But when some control is being called - the side pane hasn't any modules...
My module appears fine on the content pane but all the modules which were
placed in the side pane disappear.
I noticed this is true for every module in dnn which calls another control - only the
content pane is being shown...
Why? Is there any option to always present modules in the side pane?

Thanks.

I ran into this issue in an unrelated way recently and was told that loading another control uses the admin skin.  That was significant for me in that it was a bugger for trying to have a nice/uniform skinning solution. In your case, it's significant because of the way that admin pages are loaded (ie only loading module specified in querystring ctl=xyz).

I'm guessing a bit here but I suspect this is at the root of the problem.

Perhaps someone with more experience can illuminate things further. Or tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for your answer.

My admin skin is the same as the user skin(that's how i
defined it in the portal settings) so i found no reason why
things look different...

Maybe someone knows?

Yes, and on your admin pages ... do you have a side pane?  Anyhow, I agree it's not the full answer but I suspect it's related somehow.
