 Download package: DotNetNuke_Community_05.02.03_Install.zip

Environment: Windows Server 2003 & SQL Server 2005

I have succeeded with the install but when I try to login I get the message "Requested URL: /Login.aspx cannot be found."  The login.aspx is not in the zip file, but login.ascx exists.

How do I fix this?

Bill

I re-installed everything and it now works. I now have the aspx pages. But when I came back to the project I received a page load error. I made a "Hello World" web page and it loaded fine from the same file. Why did the default page not load? Regards, Bill

Finally, I have been able to get it installed. Now there is a new issue: When I create a new portal following the instructions on page 26 of the DotNetNuke_Quick_Administration_Guide.pdf, I can not log into the new site. The error messaga is the site is found but you do not have permission when I try to navigate to the site using http://localhost/dnn3. When I log out as host and try to log back in as admin2/SimpSon2 or admin3/SimpSon3 it fails. I am sure the combination is the same as when I set the portal up. After 4 tries there still is no success. Help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Bill

Parent portal or child portal?  Can you log into a different portal?  Remember that a portal has to be a different administrator than the main site account.

I tried creating a new portal without doing anything to the installed portal. I can log into the host and the original portal, but not the new one. For the new portal, I created a new administrator: admin0 acount0 with a user name admin0. Then the password was created. Then I logged out and tried to log back in as admin0, and the password fails. this has happen on 6 different tries of different portals. Bill
