I think this has to be a bug with the minimal entropy containers and some other skin containers for Dotnetnuke. I have experienced this several times on various DNN sites (4.x and 5.x) with various skins and containers. I just did a clean install of DNN 5.6.1 and using the base skin I got this problem. I tried everything I could with host settings and clearing out the cache & cookies etc but it is none of those things. There is clearly a problem with some skin containers. It would be nice if someone with the specialist knowledge could solve this one. Gus

I had this on several occasions, I solved it by replacing the following module skin code:

<dnn:ACTIONS runat="server" ID="dnnACTIONS" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider"
                            ExpandDepth="1" PopulateNodesFromClient="True" />

with:

<dnn:ACTIONS runat="server" ID="dnnACTIONS"  />

@Angus, yes I am getting this error on a fresh, clean install.

@Loukas, your fix worked perfectly for me. I actually retained the provider name so I only removed the ExpandDepth and PopulateNodesFromClient attributes.

Thank you, Loukas, I have this problem on many instances (dnn 5.5 and 5.6), default extropy skin and many other skins and it was really annoying. Your suggestion (and Marc's) solved it.

The issue still remains on the file manager folder expansion '+', though :-(
Any idea on that one?
