hi, all --

I want to use the Links skin control for primary navigation, because it does not depend upon javascript.

It was easy to create a modified copy of the control which outputs as a series of links inside list items.  We are using this for all root-level pages which are selected to appear on the menu.

What I'm looking for is some property which can identify whether one of these links is either (a) the "root-level ancestor" of the page in the browser, or (b) the page in the browser matches the link.  This way, we can assign a style to the one particular link which shows it as such.

Thanks in advance,

John Kwasnik

You might be trying too much to make the [LINKS] skinobject do things it wasn't designed to do.

If all you want is to have navigation as list items in an unordered list, then I would suggest using the HouseMenu by House of Nuke. There is a free version and it works really well IMHO.

It's at http://www.houseofnuke.com/Projects/H...

Loren --

Thanks for the reply.

We did check out House Menu some weeks ago.  We are doing a new installation of DNN, so are using v.5.3 ... it was my impression that House Menu was only compatible with DNN v. 3 and 4.  Is this not correct?

Thanks,
