Hi,

I am very new to DNN.

we are having a portal with .NET 2.0 and DNN Version 04.08.02. We want to use the same DataLayer we have in another application (.NET 3.5) to this portal too, just to avoid to code base. So we decided to upgrade our portal to latest DNN version 05.02.03.    If we upgrade can we able to do the following ...?

1. Use the DataLayer based on .NET 3.5   2. Open the solution in VS 2008   3. Currently we are using CSSTab, can we use that with the latest version of DNN

1. You should be able to use .NET 3.5 after you ugprade, though there are ways to use DNN 4.8.2 on .NET 3.5 as well.

2. You should be able to open the solution in VS2008 right now

3. I have no idea, you'll have to check with the developer for CSSTab to see if they support newer versions of DNN. It will likely work, but no guarantees, be sure to back everything up before you upgrade.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply.

Could you please give me the steps to use DNN 4.8.2 on .NET 3.5 and VS2008 ? Since I'm facing issues with CSSTab with DNN 5.2.3 and as per their forum, CSSTab is not compatible with DNN 5.x, I am thinking to use 4.8.2 itself  if I have the way to use it with .NET 3.5 and VS2008.
