Hi, thanks for your help, the link is great, but i have a few questions.

In the part of  licensing terms: DotNetNuke Community Edition users will be able to develop using RadControls through standard user interface extensions  provided in the DotNetNuke platform

but in the question: "Are there special requirements under which DNN Modules are developed using Telerik controls?"

this is the answer: Community Edition Developer creates Module using Telerik RadControls directly ->Not Allowed*

SO? i do not understand can or can not create my own custom module with Telerik RadControls ????

If you have no own telerik license, you are not allowed to reference the telerik controls directly. If you see read Joe's latest blog, you will notify that DNN5.3 will include some first wrappers of the telerik controls. You will be allowed to uses these controls.

Just to try to clarify...

Packaging telerik with DotNetNuke makes it very easy for users to enjoy the advantages of UI powered by the telerik controls.  It makes it possible for the core to utilize the controls and to package them up in friendly ways to be used throughout the application.  It also makes it possible for us to update the DNN controls (which are leveraged in other modules) to use the telerik UI.

It's a little less straightforward for developers.  Any developer is welcome to use controls that DNN provides which implement telerik (there are not many right now, but that will begin changing rapidly next quarter).  Occasionally we will also release certain controls or bits which are not yet packaged in the core, but can be used by everyone such as the RadMenu skin object which is being released through the Forge with the skinning contest skins.  Maintaining the OS code is appropriate, however if a developer wants to substantively use telerik directly they really should be a licensed telerik developer.

One of the reasons why we chose to partner with telerik on this is that they adhere to the abundance mentality as we do.  This means there are no technical restrictions on using the telerik controls; rather they rely on trust that folks doing development will either purchase a telerik developer license or a DotNetNuke Professional License (which includes telerik developer license for your organization).
