I need to figure out how to pull a %username% system varaible into a hidden field so when someone submits a form it pulls from ad the "%username%" so i know who the form comes from

What kind of a form are you using? If you are developing a custom module you can make your ASCX file inherit from PortalModuleBase, and that will immediately give you access to the UserInfo object which containers username, userid, firstname, lastname and a bunch of other user properties.

I am using a form extesnison from snowcoverd (Taknology) that i purchased and this is form and intranet form not an internet form.  And i need to be able to pull that variable

You will likely need to check with the vendor of that module for support for their products. But if they support DNN Tokens you can find a list of those tokens here. http://www.datasprings.com...

Ok i spoke with the vendor and they said that the form will not pull that info but dnn will how can i pull the %username% from active directory I have the extension turned on and it loged in.. Is this possilbe maybe in the footer or something? Thanks for the help
