Hi there,

I am running into an email situation with DNN, and wondering if anyone out there could help me out.

My company owns several sites, the first one being affinitysurfaces.com. the SMTP information for affinitysurfaces is setup with "info@domainindustries.com" because all of our email and correspondence is done through DomainIndustries.com (email managed by google)

Generally when someone would register at the affinity website, the website would send me an email to info@domainindustries.com notifying me of the registration and who they were. However, Just the other day it stopped doing so. People are registering, but im getting no more notification emails sent to me.

So, i tracked my steps to figure out what I might have changed... and I believe this has to do with the recent change of our SPF record for DomainIndustries.com... Our web hosting company informed us that we needed to change it to be more secure. So, I changed it to their recommendations.

That being said, is there anywhere in DNN I can tweak the email settings to rectify this problem? When i go to them SMTP settings and test it, they test just fine. it beings back an "email sent successfuly" message (however i don't receive anything - so when you test like that, does it actually send something?)  Does this sound like something on the domain hosting side I need to fix or DNN? Any help would be greatful.

Joseph, it sounds like your SMTP server is getting the emails, but not actually relaying them as it should be. DNN will send an email during that test process, it uses the HOST EMAIL setting earlier on the page. Check to make sure that email address is a deliverable one

If i go to host>host settings, the email in there is verified as an accurate email. If i click on host >super user accounts and check out the email listed in the host account created, that one is verifiable as well. Both are up and functional.

Yeah, tested and verified. Still no delivery. Any other thoughts?

I'm running 5.2.2. and this is the first time between all my dnn portals that I have seen this problem.

I don't get any emails when people register?

Can anybody help?
