I have read the user guide and it says you shouldn't have to skin the repository. It should take the natural skin it is in...

Well, thats not the case. My skin is a black background. I tried to edit the template.html in the default theme.

Could someone assist me with this and point me in the right direction or tell me what I am doing wrong?

Well that's the intention :)  however, there are a couple of bgcolor statements in the default template that need to be removed, one on the header row and one on the detail row, just remove the  bgcolor=gainsboro and bgcolor=white parts of the TR tags and you should be good.

I know i change template.html but what about template.xml?

You don't need to change the template.xml if you're just trying to get rid of the two areas of color that Steve mentioned above.

EDIT: If you're still seeing the background colors then try logging in with host credentials and clearing the cache under Host Settings.

I was just going to ask that... I deleted what I was supposed to...

I was still seeing the old grey/white... so I went and cleared the cache... but still not following my container colors

Whats next?
