Hello All

I have managed through all the excellent posts in the forum to have a working DNN, I have set this up in IIS and I am able to access this as so http://localhost/dotnetnuke/default.aspx

The problem I have when I try and access the site from the Intranet I get authentication failed box on the screen, before any of the DNN site attemps to load

This is the last piece of my puzzle and wouls appreciate any help what so ever

Many Thanks

Typically that indicates a windows file permissions error, please read the "DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf" doc in the documentation download, it details the required permissions.

Many thanks for your reply, I have set up the root folder with the machinename/aspnet full control and I have also added the network service and given this full control.

I am running XP with SQL 2000 and have followed the instructions to the letter but I am struggling :(
The local machine is the only machine I am able to access the site from

Kind Regards

Check the website/virtual directory permissions in IIS. Make sure that you have anonymous users enabled. If that's setup correctly, I'd suggest replacing the owner on all DNN files to the Administrators group. I've seen this problem in the past - not with DNN, but it's worth a shot.
