Alternatively if you can give me host access to your site, mail me on webmaster @ the domain in my profile.

Cheers

I created a new instance of the event module then ran your query. If this doesn’t give you enough information let me know and I’ll set you up a host account. This help is really appreciated.

It looks like there is some sort of problem with the timezone set-up on your site/server. Can you check the timezone in site settings. Also post back the result of 'Select * from Portals'

Cheers
Roger

Roger, I think we might be close to finding out what’s wrong here. The TimeZones.xml file sits within the App_GlobalResources folder which isn't and can't exist in a published version of the site. That's why it works on my local machine and not on the web server. I've uploaded a non-published version of the website to the web server (using the same database) and the problem does not exist with that version. In an attempt to fix the problem on the published version I've moved the TimeZones.xml file to the root of the website and changed the Module Settings in the database accordingly. This however has not made any difference. Is there something I need to know about publishing this site/module that I've missed somewhere along the way?

Sorry, I don't understand why the TimeZones.xml can't exist on your site. I would guess that in trying to populate the timezone options within the module, DNN provides the available timezones from this file. If it isn't there, I would imagine that functionality wouldn't work because you have an incomplete install of DNN core.

I know the module settings records the location of TimeZone.xml, but I don't believe the module actually uses that setting at all - I suspect it is there for historical reasons. I can see in the code that it would be reset to a value provided by DNN core whenever you update the module settings anyway. I have no idea where DNN core gets the location from, and how it can be configured, without digging through core code which I'm not set up to do. The call getting the value is to Services.Localization.Localization.Timezonefile.

Cheers
Roger
