I have a DNN site that has failed upgrading from 4.9.4 to 5.1 and now is still working, but the dotnetnuke.extensions is not where to be found and several of the admin funtions are not working.  I also tried to upgrade the broken 5.1 to 5.2.3, but that did not fix anything.

Is there anyway to export the content from one DNN site and import them into a new installation of DNN?

you may create a portal template from current website and create a new web site based on it, but there will be all users missing as well as a number of settings and the content of any module, which does not support iPortable interface. Fixing the install by comparing files and metadata in the database with a blank install (same version) is usually a more promising solution.

Can you tell me what version of DNN added the dotnetnuke.extension to the desktopmodules and the host and admin tabs, this may help me determine which script has failed?  I looked throught the latest upgrade package and I could only find the blanket insert script to insert all the desktopmodules, but I already have other modules installed in the desktop modules and this script will overwrite some of the existing desktopmodule ids.

Thanks,

Bill
