I have forums on my site that are working great without moderation. I have another set of forums on my site that I would like moderated. Even through I have Public/moderated form selected as the forum type, all of the users are able to post without moderation. I have 2 security roles on the site that are able to post without moderation.

If users are trusted in the other forums, are they trusted in the moderated forums? I have a test account that is not trusted but is able to post without moderation.

Any ideas?

Todd

Once a user is 'trusted', they are trusted across any moderated forum and they are permitted to edit their posts (Previous posts).

I do understand that. In our database, all of the users in the database where trusted. I am not sure how all that field was populated intially, but once I changed changed the value to False, all of the forums began to work as configured. I did not understand intially that if a user is trusted, they are trusted across all forums across the portal. Thanks for clarifying this and thanks for the quick response.

Sure thing Todd. One thing to note, there is a setting to auto trust new users. You can see this from the admin control panel.
