We are running forum version 4.5.3. We are having the problem that even though there are posts and replies in forums, they all show "None" in the last post field on the forum home.

Any fixes for this?

This is not an issue I have seen before. One thing i can say, make sure your module setting cache time is 0.

I already checked the cache time, and it is set on 0.

I looked in the Forum_Forums table and MostRecentPostID, MostRecentThreadID, MostRecentPostauthorID, and MostRecentPostDate are all NULL.

It sounds like the posts are getting added, just the forum/thread tables aren't getting last post id, although this has not been a problem for anyone else (that I have heard thus far, and this has been a long time). If i were investigating your issue, i would execute the Forum_Post_Add sproc.

I know this sproc calls Forum_AA_ThreadUpdate (potentially) as well as Forum_AA_UserPostCountUpdate, Forum_AA_ForumPostCountUpdate.

Questions:

  1. Are post counts getting updated?
  2. Are these posts approved, (is the forum even moderated)?

Yes, the post counts are correctly showing the number of threads and posts in the forum. The forums are moderated, but all posts have been approved.
