I have 2 domains, one is working fine, the other is not - they're both DNN sites from the same DNN installation.

I have the first domain pointing to domain2\dotnetnuke and works fine

the second domain points to the same domain2\dotnetnuke install and doesn't work. The URL it creates to the virtual directory is  about 4 lines long and eventually gives up. I think it's becuse the second domain points to itself and it gets confused about where the inital domain name started.

This sounds very confusing as a reader I know.

My question is how do you get it to use the DNN install instead of me having to type domain1\dotnetnuke everytime?

In the portal alias field in DNN, it says domain1\dotnetnuke and won't let me delete it or change it.

Any ideas?

If you install in a subfolder, you must include the subfolder in the URL.  Realize that you should be using portals, not separate DNN installations.
