Is it taking you to your custom page that you have set up under  User Registration/Profile Page:  when you click register? For me it's not.

For example, that setting in my test install is set to this page: http://dnn52.connectingmembers.com/Us...

However, when I click Register it takes me to: http://dnn52.connectingmembers.com/Register.aspx?ReturnUrl=http://dnn52.connectingmembers.com/Home.aspx

Not sure what has changed to break this, but as i said, it worked in 5.2.3

i just updated to 5.3.0 and have same issue. also on site settings page, User Registration/Profile Page setting not saved. when i change it to any page and click Update, it return to main page. restarting server and deleting client cache/cookies not helped

Just a stab in the dark here... If you are using a custom skin I suggest trying to the default DNN skin and see what happens.  I have run into situations (can't remember a specific example right now) where the skin creator did something "unorthdox" and it caused problems.

I thought about that and tried the default skin but that didn't work either.
