Ok, the objects in the database that the upgrade can't find don't have a prefix, however there are other objects that have the prefix ASPNET. I found this out by setting objectQualifier to ASPNET and now the upgrade fails because it can't find the stored proc: ASPNET.ASPNET_GetPortalAliasByPortalID Of course it can't, it's prepended and extra ASPNET. I'm really baffled here.

Actually mispoke. All the tables and stored procs are preceded by ASPNET. but the upgrade doesn't look for them with the ASPNET prefix, yet it does obviously find the GetPortalAliasByPortalID when the objectQualifer is NOT set to ASPNEt. Sorry, it's been a couple days since I have had time to look at this.

ASPNET objects are part of MS membership provider, utilized by DotNetNuke. those objects are not prefixed by design.

That's great to know Sebastian, but that doesn't help explain why this upgrade is failing. Why can't the installer find these objects in the database? I'm close to scrapping this whole thing and using a different CMS.
