Hi,

As best as I can make out a user needs to be a moderator to be able to move threads.

However also as best as I can make out a user can only be a moderator is there is a moderated forum?

Now there must be a way around this because the Admin login can move threads.

Can someone help me; I want a normal user to be able to move threads in the absence of any Forums that require moderation.

Thanks,

Dale

Dale,

Only moderators and tab admin or site admin can move threads. Any of these persons can move a thread to any forum that they can see. If a user is only a moderator, however, they can only move threads in forums which they are moderators of.

In the next version, people can be either a 'global moderator' meaning all forums not just moderated ones, and it is also possible to assign moderators to forums which are not moderated. This should account for all needs.

A Tab admin is someone who has admin permissions on the page that the forum is sitting on. For example, I am not a site administrator here on dotnetnuke.com but I am an admin of the forum page. This means I could add/remove modules on this page and change the settings of this module.
